Sony’s Mini MUTEKI Looks Like A Transforming Alien

Gizmodo AU

Sony’s MUTEKI home theatre system was iconic, if for no other reason than it was monstrously large and monstrously loud. Their Mini MUTEKI, is significantly smaller, but promises to bring the same elements to the “compact” speaker system.

Capable of pumping out 220W of power, the mini MUTEKI costs $349 and has an iPod dock, USB input, an integrated FM radio. There’s also – wait for it – LED lights that sync to the music you’re playing. Which is exactly what I was hoping for when I saw this beast of an iPod speaker system that looks like it could lead the Decepticons to victory.

Why can’t it also be pretty!? Why does it get to be loud but look like the year 2001 reinvigorated?
