Skyline Is What Happens When The Special Effects Guys Make A Movie

Although you’ve probably never heard of the Strause brothers, you’ve almost definitely seen their work. They’ve had their hand in the special effects of a whole heap of huge sci-fi films, like Avatar, X-Men 3, Wolverine, Terminator 3, 2012, Wanted and The Day After Tomorrow. Now they’ve created their own film, called Skyline.

The film was made in under a year with a small budget, small cast and small crew. But as you can see from the trailer, the effects are massive. Coupled with Tron this year, it looks like another movie season dominated by the colour blue…

    actually looks pretty good. Far better than Avatar or any of the AVP stuff.
