Motorola Defy Hitting Telstra On $49 Cap Plan

Gizmodo AU

If you’re looking for a water, dust and splash resistant smartphone, Motorola has just announced that Telstra are selling their DEFY handset from the end of this month for $0 up front on the $49 cap plan.

As with the UK launch, the phone will launch in Australia with Android 2.1 and MOTOBLUR running over the top. It’s kind of disappointing that it won’t be shipping with Froyo, but then again there aren’t too many weatherproof smartphones on the market either. At least anyone who buys this will get to enjoy Telstra’s new larger data caps…

New phones are still shipping without the most recent software? Sorry Motorola but no.

\/\/007! water proof for the win
Not the latest 2.2 for the fail (ftf?) or ftl (for the lose).
