These brilliant posters spell out the number of floppies needed to load iTunes, Firefox and even Photoshop. I’m so glad we only have to insert one disc instead of 358 floppies for Photoshop CS4 these days. [Behance via Photojojo]
I did work experience in a computer store back in 1995 and 1996. One of the jobs I had to do one day was reinstall Windows 95 on a machine which had no CDROM drive. Was given a stack of floppy disks and put to work.
That same store also did a shareware distribution business, had a large automatic floppy copy machine in the workshop. Insert one floppy for it to image and then fill the chute at the top with blanks. It would load, write and then drop the floppy into a holding bin.
