When Dell first showed off its Inspiron Duo at IFA, the hybrid tablet-netbook seemed like one very neat piece of vaporware. But! Could this promo video be a sign that Dell’s Duo dreams are actually coming true?
Hopefully! The vid doesn’t show off much more than what we already knew, albeit with a bit more style. We were promised before the end of the year; let’s hope that schedule sticks Mostly so I can start my days playing Duo Roulette, where I spin the display to figure out whether I’ve got to use an underpowered tablet or an underpowered laptop all day. Friday, November 5, 2010 at 9:49 AMI had one of these ten years ago – it was called a CLIO, and ran Windows CE. It had handwriting recognition, and almost exactly the same screen flipping mechanism. Nice design, but underpowered with CE, and somehow uncomfortable to hold. Anyone else remember these?

Is it a low power low function PC? Or an oversized massive smartphone? I can’t tell.
