After buying an answering machine in 1985, Mark Craig thought it would be a good idea to save every single message during the next two decades. It turned out to be a really great idea. Warning: Explicit language and sexual innuendo
Craig – who is a freelance director and documentary producer after working as a graphic designer in BBC News & Current Affairs and Channel 4 – edited all the messages recorded during 20 years down to 20 minutes, mixing the clips together with old photographs from the people who was calling him. The result is an excellent short called Talk to Me. You can watch it at 4docs.
