Meet The PlayStation Phone

Looks like the folks at Engadget got their hands on something interesting: a PlayStation phone. We’ve heard about this mysterious device in the past, but this is the first look at a prototype model.

The phone apparently has a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 chip, 512MB of RAM, 1GB of ROM and support for microSD cards. It’s speculated that it will run Android 3.0 and offer a custom Sony Marketplace. There aren’t many other details, but you can check out more photos of the prototype unit over at Engadget. [Engadget]

Bad luck Xperia owners. This is what the SE team has and will been doing instead of your 2.1 update.

Haha, maybe it’ll become a neat collectors item like the Power Glove one day.

    oh BUTTONS!!!!!

I’d rather play games on this than the iphone because it has buttons. buttons are seriously underrated.

buttons are so good – you can actually see the screen, your character and the object your meant to retrieve – not your thumbs.

    I approve of this prototype.
