LG’s Android Tablet Delayed, Will Be Larger Than Samsung’s

LG had initially said their tablet would be available as a Christmas stocking stuffing, but it appears it’s been delayed until January’s CES show now. It’s no big deal really, but according to Bloomberg, it’s due to software issues.

We know it’ll be running on Android, but Reuters heard from a source that seems to think it won’t be running Android 2.2 (Froyo), with the unnamed LG rep spilling the beans that it will instead run “on the most reliable Android version”. They’re currently in talks with Google to decide on the most suitable version for the tablet, which is said to be larger than Samsung’s 7-inch Galaxy Tab. Which runs Froyo just fine, judging by Nick’s hands-on preview at IFA last month.

Still, we appreciate the extra time spent getting the software right – Toshiba’s Folio tablet is a prime example of how buggy software can make top-notch hardware seem like an expensive drinks coaster. [Bloomberg and Reuters]

There will be 3 tablets, to start with, the most powerful 10 inch (with dual core tegra – same core features as Adam Tablet, meaning 1080p + others, s’il vous plait) which will launch as ipad killer, then 1 tablet with 7 inch display for downsells. Professionals will go more with the 10 inch, and majority of people will buy little, so we’ll transition in the 7 inch by 2 months after the “successful” launch of LG Optimus 10 inch.

However, i would like to unveil the surprise, remember the LG GW990 which was stopped, it will be available with 4.8 inches, maybe higher resolution with the same Gingerbread used on the 10 inch, same dual core tegra, 1 Gb Ram, 5 mp led with 1080 p video capture, and the high end stuff, what else we wish, it’s perfecto!!!

Well it’s a guess!! we’ll have to wait and watch!
