Windows Phone 7 Ads Show, Errr, You’ll Be Using Their Phones Less…

Microsoft is no stranger to odd advertising. While I do get what they’re trying to say with their two latest WP7 ads (showing the HTC Mondrian), the message still aims left of what they’re trying to achieve.

Take a look at the ads below and tell me I’m not imagining things. Sure, I may spend a lot of time stroking the screen of my HTC Desire, or scrolling up and down on my BlackBerry Bold, but that’s usually because I enjoy doing so. I could easily put the phones down and get on with my life, like I’m sure many others could. Will Microsoft’s phones not be able to captivate me in similar ways? [WMPowerUser]

not sure how a tech reporter thinks..

but as a regular smartphone user.. I got the message loud and clear. It takes me out of the clutter of several apps and brings the information easy way.

I actually liked both the ads.

Same as AK – the ads both read to me like the pictures display; people consumed by their phones miss out on what life is really about – and that surely isn’t Apps!

I like them both – however, generally tech reporters have to choose a side to report from, and it seems that it is waayyyy easier to pick up on the minor issues in MS ads than it is to support them. Its just how life is thanks to MS and the 90′s.

Yea.. this is the first post I’ve seen that they say they don’t get it. Maybe time for a change in job?
