The JustBeats series (geeee-eeet it?) is available in earbud or cans form—but only in purple, Justin’s fave colour! The press release for the phones, clearly written by someone with a strong sense of irony, laments that young music fans have “never been exposed to high-quality sound.” Yes, and Justin Bieber will be the solution to this social ill. A little part of me dies when I see this sort of stuff. overpriced, poor sounding earphones which probably cost 5c to make, and marketed to hipster teen trash. I can picture it now: ZOMG TEH PURPAL!! OMG I LUVS JUSTIN HES SOOOOO CUUUTE <3 d(^_^)b
I'll stick to my Klipsch S4 earphones which is worth the price tag, thank you very much. *snob nose*

The material that really makes it look horrible is the earbuds, looks like a generic blinn they’ve thrown on and haven’t adjusted any of the material attributes.

Friday, October 1, 2010 at 11:40 AMThe Dr Dre Tours’ actually sound pretty darned good. I didn’t expect that either when I tried them especially since they’re made by Monster. I’ve got the Klipsch S4s and I think the Tours are better by a comfortable margin.
These JustBeats (cringe) are clearly a different design to the Tours but if they can hang onto some of the sound they have in Tours these may sound OK. Of course you will have live with the indelible knowledge you have owned Justin Bieber merchandise.
