It’ll hit store shelves down under on November 18.
I’m just back from Microsoft’s “Open House” event, where they showed off their vision of the home IT future, mostly centred around the Xbox 360. There’s a bunch of stuff to get through, which I’ll post up shortly, but in the quick news bytes area, the local release date for Kinect was announced as November 18 with an RRP of $199 standalone or in a $449 Xbox 360 bundle. As the launch is said to be “global”, Microsoft executives suggested that everybody pre-order to avoid disappointment. But then, they would say that, wouldn’t they?
