From previous experience, Catch Of The Day’s massive sales end up in frustration, anger, disappointment and tears. But they do have some awesome sales, if you happen to be one of the few lucky people to get through during the allotted time. Here are some of the deals on offer next Tuesday:
For the geeks, they have PS3s for $199, the new iPod nanos for $129, Halo Reach for $29, Cybershot cameras for $49 and 40-inch 3D Sony Bravia’s for under two grand.
There are only 6000 products available for the entire sale, so your chances of winning through are pretty slim. But on the off-chance you would get through, so you really want to risk missing out?

Friday, September 24, 2010 at 12:53 PMYou missed out on a great sale yesterday, 3 different sets of sanheiser headphones for $20.
The first set sold out in under an hour, the second set in 2 and a half hours, and the third set wens until the sale ended, 6 hours.
So yeah, if you want a deal, you need to be prepared to get in early and get your order in ASAFP.

Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 12:10 AMYep, 6000 items, they probably have 5 x PS3′s like last time, sold out within the first 5 seconds at 11:30 at night or something.
They will do this again “1 deal per 30 mins” or something so you sit there all day refreshing their site only to be disappointed because you were not one of the lucky 30 people to get one of the GOOD things on sale, but damn if you want a $29 copy of Halo Reach, you’re in luck they will probably have 5970 of them.
They should be made to say how many there are. I thought it was illegal under the Trade Practices Act, section 56, regarding bait advertising. To advertise a product on sale, they are meant to have stock for expected demand.
But when they probably have 5 PS3′s and drum up business for about 5000, whilst making people refresh their site all day, I call that bait.
I hate that site. (Yes I missed out last time, within the first 30 seconds).

Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 8:17 PMJust tried to buy the Sony camera for $49. I clicked on the ‘buy’ button as soon as it appeared, then had to refresh numerous times due to the server being busy, then when I got to checkout (after about 5 mins), it was sold out. Too hard!

Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 10:56 AMWhat is the use of buying stuff from companies like catchoftheday when it take more than 4 weeks just to process the order and another 4 weeks to deliver. Deals may be good – service and delivery are no way close – Deals – 6/10 – Service and Delivery -2/10
