33,000 Beer Crates On The Wall Of This Belgian Shrine For Beer

This is the ceiling of a building constructed from 33,000 beer cases. It was built in Belgium to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the World’s Fair in Brussels. It’s supposed to represent reusability. I think it’s a church for beer.

The only thing more awesome would be if each of those 33,000 cases was filled with beer. It’d be like that one Bud Light commercial but with better beer. Here’s the inside of the building, which is a temporary installation:
