This School Bus Goes 590km/h On Fiery Rocket Power

What happens when you strap the jet engine from a Phantom fighter plane to the back of a yellow school bus? The awesomest fire-propelled death ride around. And yes, there is a video.

This work of brilliance and terror comes from the mind and shop of Paul Stender, whose Indy Boys Inc team constructed the entire vehicle (a standard issue bus wouldn’t have withstood the rocket) from scratch. But why, Paul? Why’d you do it?

Mr Stender, 43, said: “I built the bus for two reasons. The first is to entertain people because, come on, it’s a jet bus. The second, is to keep kids off drugs. Jets are hot, drugs are not.”

Makes sense to me! At least as much sense as painting flames on a chassis that already has actual giant flames trailing behind it. [Telegraph UK]

Thank god it did or else I would have wasted like a minute of my life on the internet. Oh god.

    Pretty awesome.
