Lilou, the renegade cat she is, was caught on video skipping the fare at a suburban station in Ireland. City workers used surveillance footage to determine what station she got on so that they could tweet her story in hopes of finding her owner. Luckily, it worked! Lilou was reunited with her owner and it felt so good (to be honest, she doesn’t look the least bit happy in the picture above).
For her efforts, Miss Independent Lilou was rewarded with a new rail pass that allows her to ride any train for the rest of her nine lives. I’m pretty sure a dog wouldn’t be able to accomplish all that. [RTE News via Boing Boing]

Sunday, August 29, 2010 at 9:53 PMHey man, don’t hate on dogs.
Just ’cause a dog hasn’t done it yet, doesn’t mean it can’t!
Think humans can’t discover a theory of everything?

Monday, August 30, 2010 at 1:15 PMActually, I remember reading a photo-article a while back about stray dogs in Moscow that commuted via train to better scavenging areas. Then back home again to sleep….
