Ridiculously Addictive Angry Birds Game Now Available On WebOS

Incredibly popular mobile game Angry Birds is now available on WebOS – specifically on Palm Pre and Pre Plus devices running webOS 1.4.5. While this’ll certainly make Palm users happy, I’m surprised that the game hasn’t hit Android devices yet.

That surprise aside, the webOS game is bound to be a success if it’s anything like the iPhone version which happens to be one of my personal addictions – I still occasionally curse the person who introduced me to the great time-waster.

For those interested in what’s so addicting, the webOS game is priced at $US2 and available in the Palm App Catalog. [Palm]

If I understand correctly, the new webOS has more formal support for the c++/opengl model the iphone has, thus making it easy to port.

Android kinda has this too, but the c++ support is quite hax. for starters, its missing most of the c++ standard libraries, and quite a bit of the functionality still has to be done through Java.

    this may explain the delay.
