Rapportive Adds Live-Updating Sidebar Profiles To Gmail

Rapportive is a plugin for Firefox, Safari and Chrome that adds a sidebar to your Gmail messages, inserting data pulled from Facebook, Twitter, Linked In and elsewhere, as well as giving you room to take notes on your contact.

It’s very similar to Xobni, an add-on for Outlook that does all this stuff as well as gathers up all previous attachments and messages from the person. Hopefully, Rapportive will add similar features, but even as-is it’s certainly an update from the ads that used to be in that sidebar. [Rapportive via Soup Soup]
