I hope nobody buys the 08 version only to "upgrade for free"

Not such a bad idea! Whats the current pricing? If its cheaper to buy 08 now than it is to buy 11...your an idiot to not buy it now

Tell you what, 2011 is a lot better than 2008. Is it just me or can anyone else see that Microsoft has taken heavy inspiration from iWork in office 2010 and 11 for mac?
Many of their powerpoint transitions have been somewhat copied from keynote. Word 2011 has this "new" fullscreen mode that was already on pages. And before any apps are opened in office 2011, a window pops up where you get a list of templates, almost identical to the one on iWork. etc. etc. get my drift?
