NFL Player Fined $US25,000 For Tweeting During Game Time

Cincinnati Bengals’ wide-receiver Chad Ochocinco recently upset some folks at the NFL when he tweeted during game time and was slapped with a $US25,000 fine as a result. His reaction? To apologise and complain about his car payments… on Twitter.

Apparently there is a rule which specifies that “NFL players are not permitted to post messages on social media websites starting 90 minutes before kickoff and until postgame media obligations are fulfilled.” Ochocinco broke this rule by tweeting “twice – once before the game and once during.”
