Of any major tech CEO, recently-ousted Mark Hurd of HP had the lowest approval ratings by his own employees: 34 per cent. To compare: Steve Jobs has a whopping 98 per cent rating, Larry Ellison is 88 per cent and Ballmer is 52 per cent. [TechCrunch]
HP have an unfortunate habbit of cutting back on thigs to save a cent, this may be important over a large number of units but the customer pays for it with inferior product. Hurd loved to cut back wherever possible and fostered an attitude of fear and nastiness and that flows through with the attitude of the staff and the quaility of product. We see Apple products that are good quality and they don’t take the cheap option. Hurd is part of the greed gang who increase profits and the cost of customer loyalty and don’t care because they will run with the money. Greed is still King and Hurd is one of the greediest.
