Imagine An Android App That Automatically Responds To Texts While You’re Driving

There have been anti-texting-while-driving apps already, but State Farm’s On the Move app actually tries to eliminate your urge to text back – by texting back for you.

Launch the app, and while it’s active, it will text back anyone who tries to reach you with a pre-determined message. It doesn’t, unfortunately, automatically detect when you’re driving, so you have to manually set it on and off. But you can also use it for auto-responding during times when you don’t want to be disturbed, like when you’re at the movies or taking a nap or taking a nap while driving. [State Farm via Gawker TV]

Update: State Farm says that they’re working on GPS functionality to know when you’re driving.

What if the same person texts you back after your reply? will it text back again with the predetermined message? E.g. Person A texts person B, Person B replies automatically. Person A then texts again…

You can easily program tasker to do this for you.
