How Did Only One Person Die In This Insane Plane Crash?

This plane crashed in the Caribbean on Monday. It broke into three pieces. Of the 125 passengers, only one died. How is that possible? (If you say “Jacob“, I will kill you.)

The plane may have been struck by lightning before crashing while landing on a runway on St Andres, a Colombian island in the Caribbean. Only four passengers had major injuries and the single fatality may have died from a heart attack. Here’s another view of the crash:

Surprisingly, the major cause of death from a “landing” related crash is down to fire and suffocation (once you take out impact tumor from the equation) – if there was no fire or leaking chemicals/smoke, then it’s not surprising that so many people survived.

The fact that no one was killed from been ejected from the aircraft is also surprising, but this relates to when the aircraft started to break up.

It was probably nearly empty of fuel when it landed, so was a lot less likely to catch fire when it broke up.

It was lightning. At first I thought it was animal. Some kind of bird or something. But it was a man! There were flames coming out of the engine, and a flash of smoke. Maybe it was a technician who was caught on the side of the plane when it took off. How could he survive out there? The air’s so thin, the blast of the wind. It’s so cold.

It wasn’t Jacob… that’s rediculous. It was because of the “rules”.
