We’ve discussed the exploit affecting iOS devices and that it should theoretically be a simple fix, but now Apple has gone on record and said that it has a solution already:
We’re aware of this reported issue, we have already developed a fix and it will be available to customers in an upcoming software update.
No word on when the fix will come, but at least it’s supposedly already figured out. [9 to 5 Mac]

It was fixed in the betas for iOS4.1 before the jailbreak came out which is likely why the iPhone hackers didn’t wait for 4.1 to come out before releasing this hack.
