The Computer History Museum is hosting the original source code of Apple’s ground-breaking visual drawing tool, which arrived alongside the Apple Macintosh in 1984. You can have it for free, if you’re non-commercial.
There’s also a nice accompanying story of the history of the tool’s development from Apple Lisa tool MacSketch on the Computer History site, along with a lovely photo of Steve Jobs – already in his uniform of faded denim and black sweater. [Computer History Museum via MacRumors]

My mother borrowed a schools Mac (she was an Integration Aid) one weekend, and I was just playing around with MacPaint and the Mac in general. She doesn’t remember this but her quote to me that weekend (when I wouldn’t get off the computer) was “Computers are going to change your life”
