While older cell towers were topped with those those unsightly satellite-looking antenna fixtures, newer ones can be contained entirely in sleek, featureless polls and thus disguised as trees. Nice for us, not so much for woodpeckers. [YouTube - Thanks Manny]

We hid them in shopping signs, flush mounted them to walls and painted them in brick designs matching building facades, installed them atop 40m+ fibreglass moulded palm trees with polycarbonate palm fronds (made in the UAE and shipped to Australia), mounted them in church bell towers behind polycarbonate screens, attached panel antennas slim mounted to light poles on bridges, etc, etc the list goes on.
This has been going on for so many years, so I mean WTF? Why even post this article??
