How Fast Is Your iPhone, Really?

If you are considering upgrading your iPhone to a newer model, Mike Heller and Chris Pinnock made a video that will help you decide: a no-prisoners speed race between the original Jesusphone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4.

If you are going to buy the obvious winner, you should also consider our review and remember to order the free bumper that will avoid the antenna problem. [TUAW]

What I think is pretty cool, is the fact that the iPhone 4′s black is actually black. :O

It’s kinda the reason that I went for the Galaxy S instead of waiting for the iPhone 4 to upgrade my 3gs. Sure it’s a little faster and the screen is a little better and the camera… well ok. the camera is heaps better, but it’s practically the same phone. I still use and love my 3gs.

yeah, its as I thought from the beginning. the 3gs is ‘fast enough’ you would be crazy to upgrade to the 4 just because of speed, you’d be crazy to upgrade from the 3GS to the 4 at all really, unless you MUST have the camera or screen.

on the other hand, you’d be crazy NOT to from a 3G, specially if your going into another contract anyway.

that being said, its worth remembering that the iphone 4′s screen IS also 4 times as many pixels. I don’t know how many of those apps took advantage of the higher res, but it is good to see it has simply taken it in it’s stride, especially as it uses the same GPU as the 3GS as a base.
