This weekend, I’m going to be spending some time with Androids and cameras. How about you?
On my desk (and soon to enter my bag), I have the new HTC Legend Android handset alongside the Asus Garmin nüvifone. Honestly, in the very brief handson time I’ve had with them, you would never imagine the two actually ran the same OS. It’s like comparing a Roomba to a T1000 Terminator – although at this point I’m not sure which one is which.
Also on my desk are the new Samsung EX1 compact snapper and the Kodak PlaySport camcorder. Both feel very very nice in my hands, so I might be taking a few snaps and videos over the weekend.
What about you guys? Anyone have any exciting new gadgets to play with this weekend?

Friday, June 18, 2010 at 4:15 PMWhat’s the build quality like on the Asus? Had a mate who imported an one (different model I think) late last year and it was pretty ordinary.

Friday, June 18, 2010 at 4:47 PMIn the past couple of days I have bought second display for my iMac, Wacom Pen & Touch tablet and multi-function colour laser printer.
A bit of time to be spent seting up tonight and then a weekend of playing around with the tablet (mixed in with Portal and TF2). :-D
I hope it rains all weekend. That way I can not feel guilty (or get nagged) about not doing anything around the house.

Friday, June 18, 2010 at 6:27 PMI was dearly hoping I’d get my new telly this weekend (I put a deposit on it a month ago) but I got told by HN it’ll be another 2-4 weeks! I’m pretty shattered, the world cup would’ve looked lovely in HD glory but alas, it will not be.
Nick, do you have any info on the go with Samsung LCDs? I hear there’s a shortage across the country due to their giveaways but information I get from sources varies. Are you able to get any word from somewhere higher up the Samsung chain?
