Turns out the recent Microsoft/Foxtel partnership to bring Pay TV to the Xbox 360 has a few fringe benefits, like Fox8 broadcasting Microsoft’s E3 keynote next week live next Tuesday morning.
The event will happen at 3:30am EST on June 15 on Fox8, and will be airing live and commercial free, which must be a world first for Fox8. If you don’t fancy getting up in the wee hours of the morning, they’ll be replaying it at 3:30pm the same day. The program will apparently include some exclusive demos of games including Halo: Reach, Gears of War 3 and Fable 3.
And for everyone excited by Project Natal, the pay TV station is also planning on broadcasting the “World Premiere” of Project Natal, with a performance by Cirque du Soleil specifically created to show off controller-free gaming. This show will hit Fox8 airwaves on Saturday June 26 at 7:30pm.
This is a pretty big step forward into the mainstream for video game coverage. Here’s hoping we see more of it (and they don’t black out the game footage demo like they did for the CES live stream this year…)

Anyways, I only care for PS3 but it should be interesting to watch the xbox one – first time its been on Aussie TV I think!
