The iPhone Leash: For Fanboy’s Best Friend

Technically, MyPhoneLeash prevents your clumsy mitts from letting your phone hit the floor. In practice, it’s an opportunity to make at least five “dropped calls” jokes a day. Oh and you’ll look ridiculous. That too.

How does MyPhoneLeash work? Let’s ask their website:

Step 1: Place desired label on the face of your PhoneLeash.

Step 2: Choose the spot on the phone where you will place the adhesive pad and clean it with alcohol. Allow to airdry.

Step 3: Remove the protective backing from adhesive pad and affix to cell phone/cell phone case. For best results, allow to bond for 24 hours.

Step 4: Attach the PhoneLeash to your clothing, purse or backpack etc. using the clip of your choice (carabiner or slip-clip)

Step 5: NEVER DROP OR LOSE YOUR PHONE AGAIN!

Extreme caps lock sic. Honestly, as someone with a long history of losing phones, this appeals to me. But as someone with an aversion to wedgies, I might have to pass. [MyPhoneLeash via Wired]

Why are Apple users automatically called Fanboys? You’re a racist, not a journalist.

This is clearly not for iphones.
    1) There’s nothing magical about it.
    2) It works with any phone.
    3) There’s no monthly tethering charge.
    4) An iphone leash would be only 20cm the first year so they can release a 40cm version next year.
