Good news for the folks interested in a Galaxy S device but not satisfied with Android 2.1! According to Samsung’s official Twitter account, the devices will be updated to Android 2.2 later on:
Galaxy S phones will come with Android 2.1 and be upgradeable to Android 2.2 which will support Adobe Flash 10.1
Of course, there isn’t a timeframe on exactly when the devices will receive an update, but this is still pretty good news nonetheless. [Twitter via Engadget]

Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 10:43 AMand with a cpu 20% faster than the nexus one / desire, and GPU that is TWICE as fast. it will probably be the first to run flash flawlessly. thus demonstrating to Apple what a fuss over nothing all that bs was.
I never thought I’d buy a smart phone, because I never really use a phone. but I think i’m sold.

Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 2:38 PMI got my 16gb GS from Singapore today. Its certainly an upgrade from my Nexus One. My only gripe is that theres no cam flash, and no roller ball for games..
Sweet screen and awesome speed though. With launcherpro, its truely amazing!

Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 7:48 AMSadly here it is 13 November and still no update in site for many Galaxy S users. Perhaps Samsung is so ashamed of themselves that they have locked themselves in a cupboard and will jump out when we least expect it, the iPhone 4 is looking better all the time.

Friday, November 19, 2010 at 12:52 PMYep, right, Ozz will get Android 2.2, at the time when Android 2.3 would be ready. Samsung you are hardware company, so stick with hardware, let people who good with software do they thing. But no everyone want to push they own shit to consumer. Carriers want they 3d grade apps in as well as Samsung they 3d grade apps as well. What a mess.
