Yesterday, Stephen Conroy warned us of the dangers of the spams and scams coming through the portal. Considering some of us were confused as to what that actually meant, imagine the confusion for the non-tech savvy. That’s why we’re going to help make the issue “clearer” with a little Photoshop contest.
The challenge is simple. Show us what the good minister meant by “spams or scams that come through the portal”. Try and be as creative as possible – going for the most obvious option may not always be the most entertaining.
Email your creation to me at nick@gizmodo.com.au. It’s the only way to save us from the spams and scams!
(And for the fun of it, here’s the video again:)

Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at 6:23 PMYou’ve got to be kidding me. I’ve been further even more decided to use even go need to do look more as anyone can. Can you really be far even as decided half as much to use go wish for that? My guess is that when one really been far even as decided once to use even go want, it is then that he has really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like. It’s just common sense.

Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at 9:26 PMGuys, you didn’t get the memo. The portal is the thingy that comes out of the series of tubes where all the scams and spams lurk. Given that the internets are a series of tubes, it’s highly likely that scams and spams jump go thru the tubes and thru the portal and infect up to 20,000. if we get faster tubes made of fibre, the scams are going to slide faster ’cause everyone knows the glass friction is less than normal plumbing tubes; therefore we need portal protection. Like any plumbing protection, this will stop the scams and the spams.
Next time, read the memo! Viva les tubes! Go postal [delete] portal!
NotoriousR
Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at 10:28 PMinfect up to 20,000?
But that’s OVER 9000!
Oh noes!
