Well the leaks were right. At tonight’s E3 kick-off party, Microsoft officially pulled the curtain off Microsoft Kinect, formerly known as Project Natal . Kinect! Like “connect” and “kinetic” and “Kin”. Among the first games to be shown off: Kinect Star Wars.
Star Wars! Controlled with the power of the Force, as best as we can approximate it! That’s years of secret Star Wars kid behaviour, totally justified.
They’re also showing off Kinect Sports, with soccer, track, bowling and javelin hurling. Pretty Wii Sportsish, just like Kotaku said. But also: video chat! There’s sure to be plenty more Kinecting going on over the next few days, so stay tuned for more details.
