Navigon – long one of our preferred navigation apps here in the US – is showing off how their latest update will take advantage of iPhone 4 multitasking. Sure, it’ll be fun to have Pandora on while I browse, but this I can actually use.
It’s not a huge revelation as to what the Navigon app will do on iPhone 4; basically, you won’t have to quit out of the application to surf the web or take a call. But seeing it in action is a reminder of how welcome multitasking will be, and how annoying it’s been not to have it already. Oh, and speaking of annoying: I hope that having Navigon narrate directions while you’re on a phone call is an optional feature. Because that would drive me totally up the wall.
