LG’s TV launch checklist:
Big sporting event? Check. New TV lineup? Check. Bonus giveaways to link the two and try and boost sales? Coming at you now below the fold.
There are three redeemable prizes if you pick up an LG television before July 11 this year.
· Buy an LG 3D TV and receive: 3D Bonus Pack including: Fujifilm 3D Digital Camera PLUS TWO pairs of 3D Glasses valued at SRP $1,097
· Buy a selected LG TV and receive: Bonus Blu-Ray Home Theatre System valued at SRP $699
· Buy a selected LG TV and receive: Bonus 22 inch HD LCD TV valued at SRP $499
Considering LG aren’t bundling 3D glasses with their 3D TVs, the bonus option is kind of a must have, although I can’t imagine too many people getting too excited by the Fujifilm 3D camera part of the redemption.
You can get full details of LG’s bundle offer at their website below.

Monday, May 17, 2010 at 3:01 PMI like that on https://lg.campaign.net.au/3dmaytv/FAQs.aspx it states :-
When does this promotion end?
Promotion closes in all states at on 17th May 2010. All claims must be fully completed online and proof of purchase received by last mail 5pm AEST on 30th July 2010.
Something tells me that this is the start date, not the close date. Elsewhere the site gives the July 11 close which is more believable.

Monday, May 17, 2010 at 3:13 PMNothing wrong with the Fujifilm 3D camera… I have one and it’s terrific. Once you use it, you’ll take it everywhere! (Although, it’s true… a newby may struggle to fully grasp exactly what they have to do after taking the photos to make the 3D magic happen!)

Monday, May 17, 2010 at 3:15 PMIf LG TVs didn’t have the build quality of a Hiphone or the picture quality of a 42″ turd, I might actually be interested this.

Monday, May 17, 2010 at 4:16 PMI would suggest before you buy anything from LG you do a google search for problems with their products or even better if your Australian look up the ACCC findings against LG. Amount of fraud they commit in their products will take your breath away. Fridges, Aircon, Washing machines, Seems that they do it right across their own range.
I guess when you buy “Lucky Goldstar” life is no longer good.

Monday, May 17, 2010 at 9:01 PMI have an LG 60″ which was a bargain at $5k about 2 years ago. Never had a problem with it but it is not very user friendly. I need to press the input button many many times to swap through all the different inputs to swap from TV to PC which I do about 10X a day. My brothers 63″ samsung knows when you have something plugged into the tv and only shows the hardware that is plugged in and it is much easier to switch between them.

Friday, August 27, 2010 at 11:02 AMI purchased an LG 60′ Plasma Telivision from Harvey Norman on the 5th June 2010. On offer from LG was a Home Theatre system via redemption. No mention was made to the waiting period for this promotion and I immediately tried to submit my details on line only to find the web site inoperative. On Monday the 7th I rang LG and was able to provide details on line for registration. I received the following email back from LG Promotions
“Your claim has been received and validated. Please allow 8 weeks for delivery of your gift from date of this email, where possible we will endeavor to deliver your gift within a shorter timeframe.”
8 weeks came and went – again rang and advised time period is 10 weeks. It has now been 11 weeks and all I have received is that the item is queued for despatch.
On checking online complaints I have found that customers from May have been queued
for 5weeks and are still awaiting delivery of promo goods.
This is great customer service – Beware of LG Redemptions
