You can call him black magician or Nostradamus reincarnated, but Nikola Tesla was “just” a genius. Such a visionary that he predicted mobile phones back in 1909, during a New York Times interview. [Popular Mechanics via Telegraph via Recombu]
Tesla had an imagination and he thought about things. That makes him unusual. Most people are bound by the NOW…and see little utility in dreaming of a MAY BE they can neither bring about nor advance in any way they can see from where they are. But any of us can do this sort of future gazing if we care to inform ourselves (be curious) and then think about it (imagine). Most people aren’t very curious at all. We’re often taught not to be.
He had a rare gift of deep understanding, he could take electric theory to it’s ultimate conclusion, he conceived the future more accurately than anyone has ever been able, more publicity should be given to this unique man and his work, we could all be better off for it
