As evidenced by the video below, this piece of DIY hackery actually works. While the body isn’t a genuine Leica II camera (instead, a Zorki 1 clone), it goes nicely with the Sony DSC-WX1 innards built into it.
The DIYers quite literally ripped the DSX-WX1 insides out and placed them inside the gutted Zorki 1 body, with the bottom of the casing coming off so the battery compartment is easy to get to.
