The photos of the bunker were taken by William Vandivert for Life magazine, just before a mob took everything away:
These pix were made in the dark with only candle for illumination since lights were only on in two rooms and when we were there there were no lights at all. Our small party of four beat all rest of mob who came down about forty minutes after we got there.

Sure der Fuhrer was an absolute nutter and had to be removed from this earth, but to knock the architecture of the time just because he lived in it is borderline #$%^$%&$.
Personally, I love the art deco styling. It was also heavily used in Britain and most heavily in the US at the time. The US, especially Hollywood and Florida went nuts for art deco.
And the height … well, you gotta admit it would have been intimidating and inspiring for visitors. And what government building anywhere in the world isn’t overly big. It’s all about making an impact. Check out the history of Washington DC and why it was designed the way it was; it was all about intimidating any international visitors.
But about the man Hitler, I’d struggle to say anything nice.
