I Hope This 14MP Cameraphone Really Runs Android

We don’t know for sure if the Altek Leo – a smartphone with a 14MP sensor, big honking 3X zoom lenses and HD video recording – would run on Android or not, but I know that I want it to.

The company hasn’t announced what’s the phone’s operating system yet, but the buttons seem to indicate that it will be Google’s phone operating system.

In addition to its 14MP CCD sensor with HD video recording, Xenon flash, video LED flash and 3x optical zoom, the Altek Leo includes Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity. More details will be available at CommunicAsias 2010. [GSM Arena]

I’d say for the optical zoom at least. You’re a clown if you think digital zoom is cool.

Because you aren’t always carrying a camera with you when you want to take a photo of something, but you’re almost never without your mobile.

Also, for people such as myself that upload photos to Twitter or Facebook from their phone constantly it’s nice to have a good camera on there.

Why spend money on two devices when you get one device that’ll do them both?
