Holy Batman! A Subterranean Mansion! With A Water Slide!

A Subterranean Mansion. Let that sink in your mind. Subterranean. Mansion. With a water slide that goes from the master bedroom to a swimming pool with waterfalls. The best three million dollars you could ever spend. And that’s not all:

Probably the most daring & innovative house ever built – ‘The Subterranean Mansion’. Entrance hall, cloakroom/WC, lounge, dining room, breakfast kitchen, utility room, laundry room, master bedroom with en suite bathroom, dressing room & shute to pool, 2 further bedroom suites, swimming pool, central Jacuzzi with atrium above, gym, bar area, changing room with shower & WC, plant room, garage, in all approximately 4,300 sq ft. Gardens, approximately 0.3 of an acre.

I’m sold. If I had three million dollars and my name was Lex Luthor, I would write the cheque right now. [Countrylife via Lovely Listing via Born Rich]

Pretty cool idea, but they’re just architectural renderings…not a real project

Um… There’s a total of one window, a skylight, in the whole thing. I have to say that would drive me completely nuts.

I’m sorry I DON’T CARE how cool this looks- NO ONE should live in this kind of luxury while so many live in poverty. Cut funds to public schools and kill labor unions while giving tax breaks to the richest of the rich so they can spend money on THIS??!! How can some people live with themselves…

      1. If you’re rich enough, why not?
      2. sure there are people in poverty, its not like anyone has a responsibility to get them out of poverty, but it sure is nice too.
      3. you don’t know if the person that owns that doesn’t already help people in poverty.
      4. he earned it, why not have some fun with his money?

Nick, get a life and stop being so jealous. This country offers an opportunity for all. If it weren’t for people like this, you wouldn’t even be able to by typing on a computer. Grow up a bit. Someone had to hire people just like you to build this thing. The $3m probably made sure people had jobs. It put food on their tables and a roof over their head. Don’t blame the person with money. Just be glad they are generous enough to spend $3m to keep people employed for a few months.

I think this is a cool idea, but I also think it’s wasteful. I personally wouldn’t feel the need to spend so much on my own entertainment when the alternative is helping some people get food to eat and an education, but I guess the person who built this is entitled to do what they want with their money as long as it’s legal and isn’t hurting anybody.

Holy hypocrite. Nick, to 90% of the world, YOU are filthy rich. Think about that the next time you eat a complete meal, or drive your car, or lock the door to your home, or use your mobile phone, etc., etc., etc. Geesh!

    Thank you Adam Russello,

Why should anyone ever be at fault for being successful? I don’t believe money ever changes anybody, it just makes you more of who you really are. If you are good at heart, you will help others who aren’t as fortunate. There are good hearted/kind people & others not so much. Their money has nothing to do with it.The guy who owns this house is in a lot better position to help the poor than someone who couldn’t afford the couch in his living room. It doesn’t make any other person better than the other, but why should someone be persecuted or penalized for working hard? They earned the money; it’s theirs to spend. Although it may not be the same story for everyone, in the United States of America, everyone has the same opportunity at success as the next guy.

Did they earn their money though? Maybe it’s the son or daughter of some wealthy person. Maybe they stole the money from the poor. Maybe it is a mansion made from all our tax money. Just saying…

My house might not have a waterslide, but it does have windows.

Seriously though, that is a seriously cool place. Something about the phrase ‘underground mansion’ just screams evil villain, which is awesome.

I realise that all of you are going nuts over the whole lack of windows, but it is a SUBTERRANEAN mansion…if there were windows, all you would be able to see is dirt. This would definitely be cooler if it was above ground and had windows, but the fact that its subterranean adds to its charm…and to the fact that if there was an earthquake, you’re probably in trouble.
