companies/groups collaborating on making kick ass apps together? programming teams? Or they are just counting the number of times the development SDK has been downloaded, which includes shitloads of times where people dont actually make any apps. ie, rooting purposes.

I find it hard to believe both Android and RIM are ahead in sales compared to iPhone, but that stat doesn’t have any details at all.

also, is the 50k apps just counting ones on the market place? because you don’t need to distribute via the market place?
