Whoa! Apparently Twitter has snatched up the company behind popular desktop and iPhone Twitter client Tweetie. Twitter intends to “offer [the app]for free and rename it Twitter for iPhone”.
We all like free things, right?
I do wonder if other mobile operating systems are next, since Twitter has already helped create an official BlackBerry app and Tweetie will let them cover the iPhone market. [NYT via Twitter]
