Would love to win an ipad but they have some wording in their FAQ that is a little obscure and reads something like “For further details, please refer to the Subscription Costs and Terms & Conditions on this website.” I cant find reference to this costing anything but Im a little worried they might end up sending me charged SMS messages. Perhaps a rep can confirm.

So you wouldnt pay a little sms bill for a free ipad?

If you don’t win then you won’t recieve an sms, but i understand your concern, for it may be a trick.

I have entered and they have not sent any promotional or any type of messages.

If it ensured a free iPad then sure, but its a competition. From Gordon’s comments this doesnt appear to be a charged subscription service but it pays to be careful, my wife once had her prepaid card drained by a contest based subscription service that she didnt even remember entering, it drained a $50 card within about a week before she realised the messages she had been getting every day cost her about $6 each. If a contest involves getting a few emails occasionally and I can opt out then thats ok, charged SMS’s is not ok for me though.

I’m curious to see how much spam comes with this “free” entry…

      Hello Gary

iWorld Australia do not spam. We only contacts to send an e-mail to customers that enter the comp that we are running another comp. Which we will do when Apple release the new iphone.

      Good luck.

      Regards.

    Hi Graham

iWorld Australia will not be sending any SMS to anybody that enters this competition.

The only thing we will do is call you or e-mail you when you win.

    Good luck.

Thanks Gordon, perhaps review your FAQ as its a little unclear as to the subscription service details.

I entered last years comp for an iPhone 3GS, i didn’t win, i didn’t win the iPhone 3G the year before that – but i’m entering again this year for the iPad. The way i see it, the more Apple products that come out the more prizes iWorld seem to give away. Bring on the iPhone 4G.

I didn’t receive any SMS or the like, just a reminder to enter this years comp.
