There were rumblings last month that South Korea was going to block Android Marketplace because some games hadn’t been reviewed by the Korean Game Rating Board. Oh, yeah, Korea? Well, Google’s gonna just go ahead and exclude all games pre-emptively.
The report, from Yonhap News, quotes a Google Korea spokesperson as saying that the move was made to “abide by local law”. Apple made a similar move when confronted with the same challenges.
If you live in South Korea, though, don’t worry! You should be able to set up a secondary account outside the country for game download goodness. [Yonhap News via Unwired View]

This is Australia near-term future.
Australia has even less business strategic influence than South Korea.
One day this country will wake up and find its internet not working because its built on foreign tech.
On that day, I will be happy.
