Alternative Fog Reality Confuses And Puzzles

This Beijing installation is not suitable for asthmatics, to say the least. Coloured fog was piped through an art gallery, causing havoc and confusion for those walking through.

It’s the work of Danish-Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson and Chinese architect Ma Yansong, who used combinations of red, green and blue lamps to cast hues on the fog, and together with the ceiling lowering and floor changing slope, it would’ve been pretty puzzling for the gallery-goers. It’s not trying to recreate the sensation of being in space or of being blind or anything – it’s just a fun alteration of reality for a short moment. [UCCA via DesignBoom]
