McDonald’s Japan To Train Employees With Nintendo DS, Software

8:30AM March 22, 2010 | Jack Loftus

“Get your greasy fingers off that DS Li— oh, you work here. Sorry about that. Please, continue with your McDonald’s training.”

No, really, this could totally happen! And soon, as McDonald’s Japan is currently developing a $US2.2 million DS “game” called eSmart that is designed to “cut training time by half”. How? Unclear. Perhaps there’s a frialator attachment we’re not seeing yet.

In any event, the software will probably work best with the new XL model… [Nikkei via Andriasang via GoNintendo via Technabob]

In 20 years time they could be worth something like the thousand dollar carts you see on ebay for weird NES games. Hopefully when they’re no longer used by McDonalds Japan, HQ recalls them so there are only a few that enter general circulation and thus boosts market value
