32GB, 64MB cache, and read and write speeds of 125MB/s and 70MB/s aren’t terribly exciting when it comes to an SSD drive, but the OCZ Onyx still caught our eye because it’s among the first SSDs to slip below $US100. [Hot Hardware via CrunchGear]

Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 2:32 PMOK I was mid post then, rambling about terrible price/performance. Then read the article – you misquoted the 125MB/sec as 25MB/sec :-)
Still, my friend just installed his C300, and I’d surely rather pay $740 for 256GB @ 355MB/sec with all the fruit!

and even so, I’d find it hard to justify it over a mechanical drive at those speeds.
