In response to this morning’s Google Car post, tipster George sent through a pic of this Mercedes with Linux licence plates. Considering the Merc would cost a lot more than the Holden, does that mean that Linux is better than Google?
Ruslan Kogan admits that he doesn’t make demand. He’s not someone who can come up with a product and make people want it. But when a company like Apple turns around and creates interest in a whole new segment of computing device, Kogan knows he can service that demand. And that’s what he’s going to do when he releases his Kogan tablet device.

Yesterday afternoon at the Kickstart Forum up in Queensland, there was a bit of a panel discussion about the government’s IT policy over the past 12 months. You know, NBN, Internet Filter, structural separation of Telstra… All those things that mean we get to have a “Conroy” tag. On the panel were (among others) Senator Scott Ludlam from the Greens and Exetel chief John Linton, who thought the discussion would be a perfect opportunity to call all Labor voters “stupid” and argue that gamers have no life.
