I didn’t want to write about this. I promised myself I wouldn’t write about this. But sometimes the needs of the many are greater than the needs of the few, and so here we are. Writing about cases for iPads, even though we’re still more than a month away from actually being able to buy an iPad.
The first load of cases come from the guys at iLuv. They’ve got a pretty extensive range coming from sometime this month – everything from screen covers to book like cases and neoprene sleeves. There’s also webcam and charging attachments available. The full range is available to check out at iWorld’s website, with pricing to come.
Also announced were Belkin’s line of iPad sleeves – the Grip, Vue and Max Sleeves. Each will cost $40, comes in Black and holds an iPad, plus peripherals.
There’s sure to be an onslaught of iPad cases announced over the coming weeks, but at least this lot can have the dubious honour of shouting “First!”

Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 2:42 PMUummm… did anyone notice that iWorld has webcams listed for the iPad??!
It definitely says it’s for the iPad, and there’s a picture of one attached to an iPad, but the description says “webcam for laptop or desktop”. Also, the picture of it attached to the iPad shows an OS X program running, rather than an iPhone OS app.
