Some are frequent keyboard switchers, some are faithful to a single peripheral. But we all still believe that there’s a perfect keyboard out there somewhere. While we’re searching for it we want to know: What are you typing on?
Are you a sucker for that satisfying clickety-clack of an old IBM keyboard or is it all about an input device that matches your decor? Tell us what you’re using and why.

When I got it I was a little unsure about going from a wireless to wired keyboard, but it’s fine. The cable is quite long and flexible and I have it fed through my desk in a way that keeps it out of the way but still allows me to move my keyboard easily to and from the keyboard drawer of my desk.
The non-game info on the LCD (clock etc) is really useful in-game, particularly for those ‘just one more mission/turn/quest’ moments that suck hours from your evening!

Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at 4:43 PMI’m using a Microsoft Natural 4000. I enjoy the ergonomic shape. I disliked the feel of the keystrokes at first but have gotten used to it. I used to use a Cherry keyboard while working for the USPS and miss the feel of the, albeit loud, Cherry keys.
If only I could find an ergonomic keyboard with the feel of the Cherry.
FYI: I’m a touch typist.

Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at 4:53 PMI just bought a Logitech Illuminated Keyboard last week. It’s absolute heaven to type on. It is ultra flat, laptop style scissor keys, pretty quiet and has backlit keys.
I couldn’t be happier with it!

Sometimes I miss the numeric keypad. Then I realise that having that would put the keyboard in an off centre position. OK, put the keys in the centre, but that puts the numeric keypad in the spot where the mouse goes. You use a laptop’s keyboard centred to the screen, why should this be different? What are you supposed to do?
Now that Apple’s fixed the bluetooth problem w/Magic Mouse not allowing the keyboard to sleep, I think the batteries might go back to lasting a _BIT_ longer than 2 weeks!!

I still think it’s better than the Logitech G15 but there’s plenty who disagree.

Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at 10:35 PMG15 on my PC up until Christmas, now an Apple Keyboard w/Numpad. So damn nice to type on. I keep the G15 for gaming though. Low profile keys aren’t quite as suited to games I find.

Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 9:20 AMBella DV Pro 3.0 Keyboard with Jog/Shuttle for Adobe Premiere Pro.
Great keyboard with key shortcut mappings colour separated for functions and a jog/shuttle which allows frame by frame stepping.
I hated the Apple Aluminium keyboard that it came with, I have fingers like pork sausages.
