Oxyfit Oxygen-Boosting Backpack

The thought that always occurs to me when I’m exercising – besides “why am I exercising?” – is, “I wish I had more oxygen right now.” The Oxyfit backpack gives me up to 50 per cent more oxygen.

Here’s how it works. The tube, which goes in front of your face like you were Neil Patrick Harris answering phones for a Haiti telethon, pipes oxygen from the backpack directly to your breathing space. With this, you’ll raise the normal 20 per cent oxygen level of Earth’s atmosphere that you get to a more Olympic-level 30 per cent. Is this $US2681 backpack worth it to help you exercise longer by giving you more oxygen? That depends on how fat you are. [Japan Trend Shop via Oh Gizmo via Fashionably Geek]

Pardon the pun, but would the benefits outweigh the drawback (woah, two in one post!) of carrying this thing around in a backpack?

Plus if increasing endurance is you thing; you really want to decrease available oxygen, not raise it. Hence why athletes choose to train in higher altitudes.
